Bats EDGX Exchange Announces New Non-Displayed Swap (NDS) Functionality

Bats EDGX Exchange is pleased to announce the Non-Displayed Swap (“NDS”) functionality. NDS is scheduled for release effective Friday, July 21, 2017, subject to regulatory review. An order with the NDS instruction is a hidden order that, once posted, may become a liquidity remover when a contra-side Post Only order enters the book at a price locking the resting NDS order. The matching units that handle Bats-Listed securities (units 32-35) will not be updated. Bats Announces the Bats Market Close

May 08, 2017

As part of Bats’ commitment to providing innovative, value-added services to our Members, Bats will introduce Bats Market Close (“BMC”), a closing match process for non-BZX-listed securities. BMC is a new, competitively-priced alternative to participating in the primary listing market’s closing auctions. Members would be able to submit buy and sell Market-On-Close orders designated for participation in BMC and obtain the official closing price for any matched shares. Any remaining shares would be cancelled back to Members to allow routing to the primary listing market auctions if so desired. Bats intends to launch BMC on Bats BZX Exchange, subject to regulatory review.

We intend to leverage the best-in-class offerings from both organizations to create a first-class exchange operator that brings enhanced value to you, our market participants. Bats to Support T+2 Clearing in the Certification Environment

February 10, 2017

As noted in the DTCC T+2 Testing White Paper, Bats will report trades in a subset of symbols in the certification environment to the DTCC PSE certification environment to facilitate T+2 testing beginning Monday, February 13, 2017. Bats will have order generators running during market hours and firms wishing to test will need to send a marketable order in one of the symbols detailed in the DTCC T+2 Testing CUSIPS list. Bats BYX and EDGA Exchanges Announce Update to DIRC Routing Strategy

Bats is pleased to announce a new DIRC to IEX-Midpoint routing strategy on the BYX Exchange and EDGA Exchange effective February 1, 2017.
